The 1940 Buick Model 81C trunkback convertible phaeton was one of just 230 built that year, and still has a desirably low odometer figure of about 42,000 miles (68,000km).

Bogart's car looks like the 1938 Plymouth Deluxe he drives in "The Big Sleep." Any thoughts? It most likely is the same Plymouth coupe that was used in the Big Sleep. Both pictures were made at Warner Bros. at roughly the same period. Bogey always pronounced coupe with the French accent "coupay". I liked that.
