Bodhi is an elven vampire who was expelled from Suldanessellar, which would lead to her becoming undead. At the start of Shadows of Amn, she has formed Bodhi's Vampire Coven to challenge and destroy the Shadow Thieves in Athkatla.

Bodhi's Heart is, as its name suggests, the heart of Bodhi, the cursed elf outcast turned vampire, cut from her chest after she has met her final death at the hands of Gorion's Ward via a Wooden Stake.

Going by meta/power gaming, Bodhi is probably the choice simply because you will want to kill Renal Bloodscalp for his boots, and afaik that gives you problems with the other Shadow Thieves. You can kill him after you return from the Underdark of course, but that's not optimal.

I'm up to the point in the main quest where I either need to go side with Bodhi or the Shadow Thieves, but I can't decide. What are the benefits of one over the other?

Nov 28, 2014 · In order to kill Bodhi, you need to do the following. Go up to the Pool (any of them) and use a Holy Water on it to weaken the vampires further. Kill Bodhi (91,000 experience) and she will flee to her coffin in the top right room. Go up there and Stake her. (x 1700 y 100). Works in BG2:EE the last time I've checked several months ago.

This is the third and last quest that Aran Linvail gives you if you sided with the Shadow Thieves in Chapter 3: Invade a Vampire lair in the Graveyard District and kill their leader Bodhi.

To enter the Lower Tombs, you'll have to use Bodhi's private entrance in the northern part of the Graveyard District (Exit A). Inside, you'll meet up with any allies you recruited (#2, #4, #5), and you'll encounter lots of vampires, some named and some not.

Bodhi has taken custody of the party from Irenicus. Her plans are to compel the party to navigate the asylum labyrinth and be hunted for her amusement.
