Oct 31, 2020 · It’s looking like my blue tang has ick as I’ve noticed a couple white spots appear. None of the other tank mates seem to have it but it is quite disappointing to see since I have QT’d everything in the DT for 6 weeks of 2.25 CP, metro, GC, and GC food so I thought I wouldn’t have had any ick in there. Must have come through a frag or CUC.

Oct 17, 2019 · Honestly, I don't believe a 180 is big enough for a Blue tang. It needs to be at least an 8 foot x 2 foot tank so a 240 would be my minimum for it. But, in reality, this fish needs a very long tank (10 foot+) to be happy long term.

Sep 30, 2015 · I don't know how big your tank is but adding more than one at s time may help. Or if you find someone locally getting rid of a yellow tang that is too aggressive it may have a chance! Seriously though it depends on the fish. A tang nasty enough to hammer a blenny is probably among the nastiest and adding a tang to that mix is a very risky endeavor.

Jun 27, 2013 · Blue tangs do not grow slow, I got a microscopic yellow belly blue tang the size of a dime last summer and it is now my largest fish. In less than a year it is longer and thicker than my four year old yellow tang and three year old powder blue tang. It is probably five to six inches long and was no more than a half inch a little over a year ago.

Jul 13, 2021 · I was hoping the blue tang would get over ich, but it’s not getting better. The cysts are big and the scratching is constant. I do want to say that the blue tang is acting very happy, eating like crazy and otherwise normal. However I was hoping the blue would have gotten over it a bit quicker like the scopas did.

All seems well and they all eat well (diet is fish flakes and seaweed) Just started noticing my tang constantly scratching itself against my rock, and maybe even white spots appearing.
