Apr 22, 2011 · I've been fishing Neah Bay about 5 or 6 years now and have never made the run to blue dot. I fished the Southwest C last year and was happy with results, but would prefer to find something a little closer that produces well for both lings and halis.

Generally, this area is a good halibut producer due to popular areas nearshore like the garbage dump, or the mouth of the Sekiu River, but also because of offshore opportunities at places like Switfsure or Blue Dot.

Larger boats (including many of the commercial charter boats available) often travel 30 nautical miles (60 km) or more into the open ocean, to such places as Blue Dot and 72-Square. Here's the baits that our Pros love for this lake.

May 29, 2015 · I got out to Neah Bay last Saturday 5/23 and met up with ~50 of my closest friends at the Blue Dot. It wasn't on fire there so we moved over to the 72 Square where we quickly boxed limits of halibut & lingcod with a few bocaecia.
