As someone who is also racially ambiguous and constantly mislabeled, I'm at a point where I'm not trying to guess or make assumptions about people's racial/ethnic makeup.

I'm also blasian (black american and filipino), and in my personal experience, most asians are not very accepting of black people at all, even if they are half asian. Of course this isn't everyone but for the most part it will be a bit more difficult to make good asian friends.

Tennis player Naomi Osaka is half black half Japanese for example and Osaka is very clearly a Japanese name. As for Judo anyone of any race can practice it. I’m North African and have friends who practiced it so not really relevant.

Oct 15, 2022 · I would think there'd be more blasian people than average in Japan, from what I know about Japan's racial politics. Like, yes, Japan is very racist, but that tends to manifest as black people and Latinos and whatnot being seen as an interesting novelty.
