Nov 26, 2024 · I have the Salmon River solutions Hunters rail on a 300BO Tikka T3X and it works great. The rail is good for a bipod and ARCA for bipod or tripod as long as recoil doesn't walk it away from where you want it. I use Atlas bipods and like the mount from RRS that will clamp to either rail or ARCA.

The slick hard top makes it hard to load the bipod and tends to cause erratic movement (hop) when the recoil impulse starts.

It might take 20 rounds to figure it out but you can make bugholes with Harris, or Ckye, or elite Iron, or a crazy sled-footed F-class bipod. Something like a double pull ckye pod can make a versatile choice for field use but it’s heavier.
