BiG-SCAPE and CORASON provide a set of tools to explore the diversity of biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) across large numbers of genomes by constructing BGC sequence similarity networks, grouping BGCs into gene cluster families and exploring gene cluster diversity linked to enzyme phylogenies.

BiG-SCAPE (Biosynthetic Gene Similarity Clustering and Prospecting Engine) is a Python software package that constructs sequence similarity networks of biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) and groups them into gene cluster families (GCFs).

BiG-SCAPE can be installed manually (i.e. by installing dependencies and running the code directly) or by using Docker. CORASON can be run using Docker. Docker. Docker is a container platform provider available for multiple operating systems.

Installing curl Linux. When using a Debian-based distro, you can do. sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install curl; MacOS. When using macOS, it is advised to use HomeBrew or MacPorts to install curl, if it is not yet installed.. Windows
