Big Lagoon is the southernmost and largest of three similar lagoons within Humboldt Lagoons State Park, along the coast of Humboldt County, California. It is located between Trinidad to the south and Orick at the mouth of Redwood Creek to the north.

Big Lagoon State Park was acquired by the Florida Park Service in 1978. This area has evidence of prehistoric and historic occupation and visitation dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries.

Big Lagoon was amazing to experience and enjoy. The Lagoons is surrounded by rock features that looks like something from Jurassic Park. Water so blue you can't believe it's real, normally don't kayak but we did and it's not to be missed.

First acquired in 1977, Big Lagoon State Park is a 705-acre (2.85 km 2) Florida State Park located on the northwestern Florida coast, approximately 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Pensacola on Gulf Beach Highway.

Big Lagoon State Park is committed to providing a variety of amenities accessible to all of our visitors. These amenities include: Beach wheelchairs are available at no cost. Ask at the ranger station. Boardwalks at East Beach Picnic Area and to the observation tower. Campsites with concrete pad, picnic table, ground grill and nearby restrooms.
