Bi-directional or bidi pigs are designed to travel in either direction in a pipeline and are used for hydrostatic testing, displacement of water or air, removal of debris, liquid evacuation and/or product separation.

The 6D-Magnet BiDirectionAll pig is meant for medium to heavy batching and/or medium cleaning. It is equipped with four scraper/seal discs, which provide excellent sealing and scrapping capabilities as well as two guide/support discs to enhance the pig’s performance.

The BIDI pigs may be run in either direction, and are most often used in new construction during line fill and dewatering applications. The BIDI pigs will traverse 1.5D bends, reductions up to 20% and are available in sizes 16” and larger.
