Identify Risks - Protect Health These are the tasks which are incumbent on the German Federal Institute for risk assessment (BfR) when it comes to progressive consumer protection. They encompass the independent assessment of existing and the identification of new health risks.

The BfR Recommendations on Food Contact Materials are based on European law and its transposition into national law. In order to take this into account, the recommendations are continuously adjusted to conform to current laws.
