However, if you progress your outpost building far enough; you can build a landing pad with ship editor, and it’ll have more variety than anywhere else. It won’t have everything though.

The reason is that if a security flaw is found, hackers will scan the internet looking for machines on the default port. If you’ve changed it, they most likely won’t find it.

These ports have not been registered, and dont do the almost impossible to troubleshoot having multiple apps or clients using the same port. Any port in this range should be equal and you could test it by looking at speeds on a few different ports if you were bored.

The difference between the two is that SM64 Port is the official project created originally by the developers. It is primarily vanilla right now and lacks mod support and some other things. The sm64ex fork, on the other hand, was based on the leaked version of the SM64 Port code initially.

E.g. - Listening port = 55125, Obfuscated port = 55126 So, open the port range 55125-55126 in both public + local. They should only need to be TCP, but adding UDP won't hurt. You shouldn't need to open/forward anything for "Server port".
