The Bell 505 is the latest-generation short light single-engine helicopter. The Bell 505 is powered by the Safran Helicopter Engines (HE) Arrius 2R featuring a first-in-class, dual channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) that delivers exceptional performance along with a maximum cruise speed of 125 kts (232 kph).

The new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter is equipped with Garmin G1000H integrated avionics by Garmin International. It features a high-visibility cockpit with a new advanced avionics system that reduces the overall workload on pilots.

The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X has a maximum speed of 125 knots, a travel range of 333 nautical miles at 4,000 feet, and a service ceiling of 18,610 at 1,670 kg. It has a maximum takeoff and landing weight of 2,030 kg and a maximum payload of 680 kg.

The 505 SHP, FADEC controlled, Safran HE Arrius 2R engine provides the power to fly up to 20,000 ft (6,096 m) and carry 2,295 pounds (1,040 kg) external useful load providing capability beyond traditional short cabin helicopters.

It turns out Bell filled its own gap with the all-new 505. Powered by a Turbomeca Arrius 2R engine producing 505 horsepower with dual FADEC and a 3,000-hour TBO, the ship has an entirely new look with some re-purposed components.
