
Bumble bee snails? Anything I should be aware of? | Reef2Reef
Feb 3, 2021 · I'm thinking about getting some bumble bee snails. I've got some vermetid snails. They don't really bother me, but I know the snails will eat them, and hey, I think those snails look cool. However, is there anything I should be aware of before I get some?

Mar 3, 2025 · I was about to purchase a couple of Bumble Bee snails to add to my CUC which consists of at least 3 stomatella but I was told the BBees would eat the Stoms... Really? I haven't read that elsewhere.

May 28, 2013 · Bumble bee snails can also act as a safeguard from ammonia spikes caused by large biomass die off because a pack of them will race to the nearest unexpectedly dead fish, shrimp, or whatever other invert/livestock die off and consume the carcass which reduces the load on your biological nitrifying/nitrate bacterial filter biofilm.

Jan 30, 2018 · Ok got to get rid of these. Someone just posted they thought Bumble Bee snails wiped them out?? Any opinions on that? I know about cutting back on food and nutrients. Gluing, etc. I break them off. Has to be a chemical way or predictor to get them out!!!

Apr 4, 2022 · Bumble bee snails are vermatid snail assassins as well. I have about a dozen in my tank now and they are slowly but sure reducing the population of the pests. In terms of the wrasse, I think it’s fish dependant. My buddy had one and it was a model citizen. Albeit in a 220 g.
