Just kidding There's a brief glimpse of bat ponies pulling Luna's chariot as she arrived in the fourth episode of season 2, Luna Eclipsed. I think/thought Echo was a character from a fan comic. And yes, they're friendly and harmless.

Oct 5, 2023 · I believe the Journal of the Two Sisters has some information, but the fact we never really got anything concrete in the show means fans went wild with ideas. Going just off show canon, Rainbow Dash in the alternate Nightmare Moon timeline has bat wings so a big Fandom idea is the armor is enchanted for the appearance, not actually a bat pony.

Mar 30, 2022 · Aside from Flutterbat, the only examples we see of bat-like ponies are the pair pulling Luna's chariot in “Luna Eclipsed” and the sextet serving as Nightmare Moon's guard in “The Cutie Re-mark, part 2”. The pair pulling Luna's chariot are, of course, the origin of the bat pony speculation.
