Since bats migrate depending on temperature and food supplies, so to must the bat bugs forage for food when local colonies of bats are gone. Bat bugs can exist several months without eating but extended periods without food will cause an exodus which may or may not be random.

Nov 8, 2020 · Bat bugs and Bed bugs can ride on any blood bearing animal. So mice and bats could bring this to you. Proper care with vacuuming and placing traps in the vicinity of where you are finding these may prove helpful for control.

To Whom It May Concern, I need an ID on an insect but it's so small (about 3/16") that my phone isn't capable of taking a clear photo. I'm thinking it's either a Bed or a Bat bug. Visually it seems to be a bed bug but we've also got a number of bats living in the attic directly above our bedroom.
