It's also nice to play something at soundcheck and step away from the bass and hear what your rig actually sounds like in the venue. Especially since you're so coupled to the actual vibration of the the double bass with you body.

That said, be careful - if you don't stay aware, you can fall into some bad meter habits with your looper, like rushing or dragging that last bar or just being off time in general. Practice with a metronome (or a delay pedal, in a pinch) to maintain and improve your time and meter.

Mar 21, 2016 · I was hesitant about getting the x4 because of size but because it can cover delay, looper, and modulation like chorus and flanger and vibrato I like that I can get all those effects without having to buy more pedals and have more 1/4" cables that could go bad or have to use more complicated power supplies.

My main use for this will be to play pre-recorded/imported samples and ambient passages recorded from my bass/effects. This is for live use exclusively, and I really won't do much (if any) looping live or in "real time".
