The Basidian Islands, also referred to as the Basidian Isles, are a chain of small sections of land grouped around one large landmass. The islands are located off the south coast of the main continent in the Twokinds world Mekkan. It is best noted as being the home of the Basitin people.

Keith Keiser (IPA (key) /kiθ 'kaɪzəɹ/) is the Eastern Basitin's Ambassador for Mekkan and is one of the main characters of Twokinds. Keith was exiled from the Basitin Isles for charges of killing his parents, and told he could only come back after bringing Trace Legacy with him.

Mainly found on the large island in the southern hemisphere of Mekkan, basitins are a hearty and xenophobic race. Although lacking the ability to use magic, basitin make up for this with an number of physical traits, including short bouts of super strength and a near invulnerability to most types of venom and poisons.
