"Army Anniversary" isn't a doctrinal term. If you signed your enlistment contract on 23 June, that may be your Pay Entry Base Date (PEBD), as in, the date used to calculate when you get bumped up on the pay chart. This can be different from your Basic Active Service Date (BASD), which is the date your creditable active duty service began.

Aug 19, 2019 · After the Promotion Board Panel got done ranking everyone that was competing, that list was ordered by TIG, with ties being broken by BASD, and those ties being broken by DOB. The SOR was used to pick the top ## of personnel and that was published as the promotion list, after a bit of extra scrubbing by HQDA.

Oct 4, 2021 · Been at it for about 2 months so far, but it’s almost done. I had my Bde retention NCO crate the 1506 which shows service time based on the records DOD keeps. Took the 1506 to finance after retention completed it. Finance updated my BASD for DFAS. Just waiting for retention to have it reflect on my SRB at this point.

Jun 3, 2021 · The 1506 (verified with source documents and pay system entries) is what DFAS uses to correct BASD/PEBD. Only then can S1 submit for date corrections. It's entirely possible that OP's local finance office lost the paperwork or didn't track once the CMS case was opened.
