Dec 4, 2008 · So many bad bobcat mounts out there. I would say that the ratio is about 100:1 terrible to decent. If was ever to get one mounted, I would find someone who specializes in cats.

Apr 28, 2016 · Your pick - but bad taxidermy is really easy to find and never goes away. The difference in cost between really good and really awful looks pretty small when amortized over the rest of your life.

Nov 17, 2014 · A taxidermist friend of mine told me that the bobcat's mouth and eyes are the hardest thing in taxidermy to get correct. Which is why you see so many bad examples of bobcat mounts. Strong advise is to have it done with the mouth closed.

Wanted some ideas or pictures of Bobcat mounts. I got a guy....even makes his own eyes. He's pretty busy but I could probably get you in. Might take a while....quality takes time. Ive had over 30 bobcats mounted throughout the years and im convinced that they have to be the hardest critter to mount. ive seen so many great taxidermists fail on cats.

Mar 5, 2017 · Bobcats are one of the easiest things to mount poorly. Even googling them, 1 out of 10 if that will look good. Amy does insanely good work, not saying some of the other guys mentioned dont, I just know I have personally seen her competition work and how much detail she puts into her mounts.

Jan 25, 2022 · Welcome back Curly, but...there are sooo many bad bobcat mounts. 'Taxidermist that did an excellent euro for me, and has a shoulder in-process is --- terrible on cats, from what I saw in the showroom.
