Aug 5, 2021 · Also go to the steam support page > games software etc > search back 4 blood and see if the old alpha / beta is still there. If they are click on them and choose remove them from account. Only do this if when you search back 4 blood and have more than one copy linked to your steam account. DO NOT REMOVE THE CURRENT BETA FROM ACCOUNT.

If you weren't part of the Alpha, then "Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee entry into the Early Access portion of the Open Beta. If you pre-order Back 4 Blood at a participating retailer, you will receive a code from that retailer, either on your receipt or via an email, to redeem."

Aug 5, 2021 · If you played in the Closed Alpha last December you automatically get entry into the Early-Access portion of the Open Beta (no code needed). You are locked into using Steam (you should see the Closed Alpha app was renamed to "Back 4 Blood Beta" in your library) and will not be able to switch your access to another platform.

Here’s the definition of beta test - “a trial of machinery, software, or other products, in the final stages of its development, carried out by a party unconnected with its development.” Therefore wait or play something else.

Aug 15, 2021 · The bots in the Back 4 Blood beta are not very smart. They can shoot, and tag items for the group, but you can’t rely on them to do much more. This is something Turtle Rock is working on – it’s one of the team’s current big projects – and O’Driscoll said launch day bots will be smarter than the beta. Difficulty balance will be tuned.

Playing in the beta will not accrue any hours into the preorder “Back 4 Blood” catalog item; that time will be tallied to “Back 4 Blood (Beta)” so you don’t need to worry about Steam’s 2-hour refund limit.
