
3205 - Preserved British Steam Locomotives
3205 was built by the GWR in 1946 and is the sole surviving member of the 120 strong 2251 class of locomotives designed by C B Collett. 3205 was first allocated to Gloucester and spend much of its early life locally, being allocated to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Worcester.

Charles Collett designed the GWR 2251 class to replace the ageing fleet of Dean Goods 0-6-0s. The class were essentially a modernised version of the their predecessors, sharing the same dimensions but featuring a tapered boiler and a full cab.
