Nov 14, 2017 · As far as quality is concerned, I have an Athlon Midas TAC 4-16 and Cronus BTR 4.5-29, and both have been excellent scopes. I can’t speak to the ones that are more budget-minded than the TAC but the Midas BTR2 should be comparable.

Feb 6, 2019 · A couple things I didn't mention regarding the PST and XTR 2 and PST gen 2. They are not in the same league. My primary arms platinum series is made in Japan and is a very nice scope however it's not as nice as the Razor Gen 2, Athlon Cronus BTR or the Nightforce ATACR.

After extensive research I've narrowed it down to either the Vortex Razor HD Gen2 4.5-27x56 or Athlon Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 APRS6. I like the Razor because I already have the 3-18x model on my 6.5 CM Aero Precision M5E1 gas gun.
