May 9, 2016 · I recently invested a tenner in a BSR McDonald MP60 turntable, which under the dust and grime proved to be as cute as a button and in near-enough full working order. I've carried out the usual adjustments to set it up properly, and lubricated the spindle shaft & bearing, the motor and the idler wheel bearing.

Jan 22, 2009 · The BSR MP60 was a chronic rumbler, and while away at university I sold it and substituted a Connoisseur BD2 belt-drive deck. No auto operation, and not an expensive turntable, but in a different league as far as performance went!

Jun 15, 2023 · Unlike my other BSRs, this one is a single-play unit. There should have been a multiplay adapter included for this record player. Usually they are in a compartment to hide it away when not in use. I am thinking that the multiplay spindle would be like a dual one where the part that holds up the record us built in instead of having a holding arm.

Jun 12, 2023 · Although badged MP60, the OP's platter looks like the shallower and steel type used on the UK BSR P128. Doesn’t the MP60 use the P128 deck to begin with? Much like the HT70 uses the P144 deck…

Mar 20, 2017 · I have just acquired a BSR mp60 record deck all totally seized as per usual. Through strip down old grease totally removed and re lubricated where needed. Fitted a sonotone 9ta cartridge and a known good stylus tracking at 3grams.
