BRD2 - Wikipedia
Bromodomain-containing protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BRD2 gene. BRD2 is part of the Bromodomain and Extra-Terminal motif (BET) protein family that also contains BRD3, BRD4, and BRDT in mammals [5][6][7] Early descriptions demonstrated that BRD2 gene product is a mitogen-activated kinase which localizes to the nucleus.

Mar 28, 2025 · BRD2 (Bromodomain Containing 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with BRD2 include Nut Midline Carcinoma and Adolescence-Adult Electroclinical Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Gene expression (Transcription) and Autodegradation of the E3 ubiquitin ligase COP1.
Distinct Roles of Brd2 and Brd4 in Potentiating the Transcriptional ...
In this study, we report that the BET family members Brd2 and Brd4 exert distinct genomic functions at genes whose transcription they co-regulate during mouse T helper 17 (Th17) cell differentiation.

Apr 11, 2008 · Brd2- and Brd3-associated chromatin is significantly enriched in H4K5, H4K12, and H3K14 acetylation and contains relatively little dimethylated H3K9. Both Brd2 and Brd3 allowed RNA polymerase II to transcribe through nucleosomes in a defined transcription system.

BRD2 (human BRD2, mouse Brd2) is the founding member of the BET family of double bromodomain-containing genes, which have two tandem bromodomains at the N-terminal region and an ET domain at the C-terminal side of the bromodomains.
