My last 7 series had repeated problems to the point where I got to know the BMW service advisors very well. Credit to BMW that they paid for the majority of the repairs even though the car was far out of the standard warranty timeframe. They extended engine repairs for those problematic V8's up to 10 years and 100k miles on a scale.

I looked for a 50e in mid-December and NYC and the most I could find was $1.5K off MSRP. Decided to use a broker and got 8% but out of state, will need to either pick-up or have the car shipped and of course, broker fee. BMW tech here, very likely a programming issue, might be worth it to skip diagnosis and take it in specifically have it programmed. They will let you know before doing the update if they have faults that indicate the screen being bad, because if they have to program it they first have to scan it for faults to get to the programming part of the ...
