Apr 27, 2009 · I currently own F bikes, a K75, and R bikes. My K75 is a '95. I can't vouch for the ABS equipped model, but in regards to reliability, everything you have heard about the K75 is true. If you can, get issue 4 of "BMW Motorcycles" from Germany (the English version). They feature the K75. My copy came a few days ago.

May 18, 2010 · BMW K75C bars on the K75S will solve your problems with wrists/shoulders. Other stuff I had on mine: Progressive fork springs/Olhin rear shock (there are other shocks probably as good, the Olhin did raise the bike a bit) - the K75 suspension is not up to the rest of the bike so these mods are pretty necessary.

Mar 19, 2004 · 50/50 mix of Honda Moly 60 and Wurth SIG 3000 Spline Grease: This is one of the lubes recommended by one of the top BMW "gurus" in the country, Paul Glaves. The Honda provides the Moly and the Wurth 3000 is uber-sticky stuff which keeps the moly around longer so your splines stay well-lubed and you don't have to lube them as often.

Oct 23, 2008 · Long story short, I bought a 1994 K75 last Oct. Bike looked great and handled nicely. I didn't like the frequent afterfiriring and the noise from the counter balance weights were a bit too loud. I ended up taking the bike to Morton's in Fredricksburg.

Feb 18, 2012 · Hey team, resurrecting this thread since my problem is similar (1991 K75). Took the bike out for the first ride of the season. It was a tough start, so I changed the plugs (it runs rich, so I thought that might be a step change in performance). It still ran rough, but it ran. My suspicion is poor fuel quality.

starter + starter relay troubleshooting (k75s) (SOLVED)
Aug 31, 2021 · Quick and dirty test, put the bike in gear, with clutch released, pull the bike backwards sharply a couple of times. This will try to spin the starter backwards, usually enough to clear the carbon and allow starting. Either way, pull the starter out and clean it out and check brushes etc. The brush plate is available from BMW

Aug 5, 2018 · I am going to change a bmw k75 from injection to 1 carburettor to keep it simple/reliable in a different way (I've had no errors in the electronics so far, k75rt 1996 130.000km). I am not looking to improve power, I expect a small drop in power but maintaining the fuel economy as good as possible, improving it will be difficult.
1986 BMW K75, Good bike? - Adventure Rider
Nov 28, 2005 · I have the chance to buy a 1986 BMW K75 for what I believe to be a good price. The bike has about 45K miles on it, and cosmetically is about a 4 out of 10. There are no service records available. I have no idea what to look for, look out for, etc, in this model.
