The sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series consists of the BMW G11 (short-wheelbase version) and BMW G12 (long-wheelbase version) luxury saloons. The G11/G12 generation was produced by BMW from 2015 to 2022, and is often collectively referred to as the G11.

It is the successor to the BMW 6 Series (F06/F12/F13) range and marks the return of the BMW 8 Series nameplate after nearly two decades, which was previously produced as the E31 until its discontinuation in 1999.

Apr 23, 2016 · If you've own previous BMW with sports suspension and/or active steering, you will want it in the new G12. I am currently on a loaner G12, and the first thing I tested was the active cruise with auto steer.
