Dec 11, 2020 · Over the next few months i'll be creating a full conversion F81 M3 Touring here in the states. The second one on our shores and the only 6MT F81 in the world (so far). Before I start cracking into disassembly, i figured i'd start this build thread, and share the two donor cars and various bits i've acquired to get this project officially rolling!

Jan 5, 2025 · Even BMW uses a rivnut there so I just ordered one from BMW and will use it there. My issue is on the other spot near the A pillar base. I cut around the top section on the donor car and it is a much more complex structure underneath that is welded into the body.

Nov 16, 2024 · After seeing some other F81 builds recently as well as selling my last project car I decided to dive in a start working on my own. So far I've sources the 2 donor cars. The F31 is a 2015 328xi M sport with pretty high miles, but it has a clean title which I wanted for the end build and also has dark headliner and shadowline trim.
