Jun 9, 2011 · We currently have a black 330i and a white 535xi wagon. It is true that black shows dust, water spots, swirl marks, etc., more so than white. However, I have found white to have it's own issues. One being that white shows alot of road tar specks. They don't easily wash off without alot of scrubing or road tar remover.

Aug 26, 2013 · I've owned both black and white cars (and variants of each like pearl white) and I feel like coupes look better in white and sedans in black. Cleaning is def more frequently needed for black. My biggest issue with black is that any minor scratch is visible.

I've actually test driven every color in researching my car, black hides the m3's details like another poster said and it made the car really just not feel special because it hid the details. White is so popular for a reason. The best m3 colors are white, silverstone and red, avoid all others.
