Mar 27, 2014 · Turns out that was exactly the problem - took the car in, had the battery tested @ dealer, the reserve capacity was way down from it's rated specs - they replaced the battery for free. My car is an 09' with 34k miles on it so battery was 4yrs old when this happened.

Feb 26, 2021 · Freeze Frame Data is a "Snapshot" of system conditions (such as Voltage) at the moment the fault code was saved. See if you can read Freeze Frame Data for "2DEB" fault code. That Code usually indicates Over-Voltage, or Alternator Voltage in the 16V to 17V range.

Nov 13, 2015 · Maybe due to bad IBS signal. 2DEB Power management, vehicle wiring system control - Don't worry about this. I've seen this fault on many cars and always clears and doesn't come back. I would start by sorting out the fuel pump and IBS issues. The others may go away once those items are fixed. Thank you for the quick response.

The 2DEB fault could be an overcharging alternator. And stiff steering is usually a stiff steering shaft. I would recommend taking vehicle to a dealer paying 1-2hr diagnosis to get it checked out.

I would connect a voltmeter to your battery and use the min/max function. See how low your voltage drops upon startup.
