The CS features a modified version of the BMW S85 V10 engine with two more cylinders and an enlarged displacement of 6.0-litres. The CS Concept is a fastback sedan that features many new innovations for BMW, such as door handles that only come out when sensors detect motion.

The CS1 proves BMW is willing to risk their image to make a controversial car. Like the X-Coupe concept, the CS1 steps into new terrority and offers us a car which truly looks unique.

The CS1 is powered by BMW's 1.8-litre four-cylinder developing maximum output of 85 kW (115 bhp) and features VALVETRONIC valve control. The SMG Sequential Manual Gearbox shifts gears within fractions of a second via paddles on the steering wheel, relieving the driver of the usual chore of engaging or disengaging the clutch.
