BMC consists of five different buildings, totalling about 50,000 sqm, of which about 38,000 of them are modern research laboratories. BMC, Building A, is part of Campus Lund University Plateau, which is the northern and central part of the university campus. The area is the most lab-intensive of our university environments in Lund.

Several research projects at our Division are focused on molecular and cellular mechanisms that contribute to the development of severe infections caused preferentially by bacteria, but also by viruses and fungi.

Biomedicinskt centrum (förkortat BMC) är ett forskningscentrum i Lund, och är en del av medicinska fakulteten vid Lunds universitet.
