Discussion of Canon in the Baldur's Gate game universe often revolves around the so-called canon party that travels with Gorion's Ward during the events of Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, and Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn.

The canon party works best with the hero being a cleric, but even then it's not the ideal party mianly because Khalid and Jaheira. Khalid is a weak fighter and Jaheira, in addition to being weak, has a class that doesn't contribute much to that party.

Nov 11, 2019 · If you want to play canon, the player character is a Fighter, Human, Chaotic Neutral named Abdel Adrian. NPC canon party is Khalid,Jaheira, Imoen, Minsc, & Dynaheir. There’s no straight up cleric, but Jaheira fills the healer role pretty well.

The canonical BG1 party of Dynaheir, Minsc, Imoen Khalid and Jaheira has all the basic party roles covered. Jaheira can cover the healer/divine caster role pretty effectively, and makes good back up for Minsc as a melee fighter and Khalid as your ranged fighter.

I am planning on playing through the game as a good character, using the Canon party of Imoen, Jaheira, Khalid, Minsc, and Dynahier.

Sep 2, 2022 · I've decided to go with the canon party but went into EEKeeper and made a few changes to the companions to make a more diverse party. Abdel - I know Gorion's ward can be whoever you want it to be but decided to stay close to the lore and go with a human name Abdel.

Jul 27, 2020 · The canon party is short on both arcane and divine casting. Arcane early (with just Dyn in BG1 and none in BG2) and divine late (multi-class druid is ok for BG1 levels, but casting power tails off quickly in early-to-mid BG2).

I'm planning to do my first ever playthrough for BG:EE (my first Baldur's Gate game) and I will be doing it with the canon party (Imoen, Khalid, Jaheira, Minsc, and Dynaheir) and I wanted to ask people's opinion about: 1) Which class fits the canon party best: a Cavalier or Figher/Cleric Multi?
