Apr 21, 2014 · The SV98 is my personal favorite rifle however it has more bullet drop (which makes it better for cq engagements), it has a lower minimum damage (this doesn't affect the performance much), it does have a faster rpm which helps again in close quarters, and it's like a tad slower than the L96.

Nov 9, 2011 · Noticeably the M98B is 1 damage short of killing with a body shot at max range on hardcore. From what I've seen, the M40 has the fastest bolt while the M98 has less bullet drop. The SV98 is just kind of meh, to keep you tided until you unlock the better bolt-actions.

Apr 26, 2013 · I love the sv98, my most used sniper. I feel it excels in medium to short ranges. So use it for those ranges and then yes, it would be worth sinking time into :)

sv98. Second fastest bolt, tightest hipfire, and slightly better max damage range. I don't "snipe," so having good close-medium range performance is what matters to me.
