A contactless card has a chip that uses a near field communication (NFC) antenna to enable close-range payments. Your payment is processed when you tap your contactless card near the Contactless Symbol on a checkout terminal that supports contactless payments.

Make in-person checkout a breeze with a contactless BECU credit card. Beginning in late June, new and reissued BECU Credit Cards will support a contactless tap-to-pay feature. When paying for purchases at a point-of-sale terminal, just look for the contactless symbol.

Use digital payments anywhere you see the contactless pay symbol. Avoid EMV approval time or digging around for your card – one, two, done. More secure than a traditional payment? You bet. Merchants never receive your card info, but a unique “token” (fancy banking talk for code).
