Most specifically, I will be using it for my 338AI, so fire forming will obviously take place. Lapua brass with “BBR 15” headstamp originally made for an ammo manufacturer. Thght it wld be Barnes.

Jan 4, 2024 · There’s no difference between 223 and 556 lc brass to my knowledge. It’s just marked that way from LC to differentiate to what pressure it was loaded to (223 or 556). Sorting by head stamp won’t make any difference-sort by weight instead if you looking for best case capacity consistency. What rifles are you loading for?

Dec 17, 2013 · Some of the cases have .223 stamped, but many others have markings that I am not familiar with. So far, I have not seen 5.56 stamped in any of them. I have not yet gone through them all. How do I identify brass that are not labeled with .223 markings? It is an assumption that if it is not marked .223, it is by default 5.56?

Anybody know this .223 brass headstamp? - 24hourcampfire
Jan 24, 2012 · Anybody know this .223 brass headstamp? I spent the afternoon sorting through several boxes of once-fired range brass (PD range). Most brass was Lake City, Winchester, and various mil-spec, but I have a couple thousand cases of a brand I can't identify. The headstamp says "PSD" across the upper aspect, and "0 3" on the lower aspect.

Apr 18, 2022 · There's variation between the different factories that produce .223 and 5.55 brass. Many use the exact same brass. Short answer: it doesn’t matter, 5.56 and .223 brass is manufactured exactly the same.
