B-cell activating factor - Wikipedia
BAFF is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for receptors TNFRSF13B /TACI, TNFRSF17 /BCMA, and TNFRSF13C /BAFF-R. This cytokine is expressed in B cell lineage cells, and acts as a potent B cell activator.
B cell activating factor (BAFF): Structure, functions ... - PubMed
BAFF expression is closely linked with autoimmunity and is enhanced by genetic alterations and viral infections. Furthermore, BAFF seems to be involved in adipogenesis, atherosclerosis, neuro-inflammatory processes and ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury.
List of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies - Wikipedia
Therapeutic, diagnostic and preventive monoclonal antibodies are clones of a single parent cell. When used as drugs, the International Nonproprietary Names (INNs) end in -mab. The remaining syllables of the INNs, as well as the column Source, are explained in …
Current status of BAFF targeting immunotherapy in B-cell neoplasm
Belimumab, an anti-BAFF monoclonal antibody, is being investigated in combination with rituximab/venetoclax for CLL. Atacicept, a decoy receptor for BAFF and APRIL, showed tolerability in a phase 1b trial for CLL.
Disclosures - American Society of Hematology
Nov 2, 2023 · Ianalumab is a fully human mAb that targets BAFF-R. It has a novel dual mechanism of action: blockade of BAFF-R-mediated signaling and potent depletion of B cells mediated by antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity.
Barrier-to-autointegration factor: major roles in chromatin ...
Barrier-to-autointegration factor (BAF) is a DNA-bridging protein, highly conserved in metazoans. BAF binds directly to LEM (LAP2, emerin, MAN1) domain nuclear membrane proteins, including LAP2 and emerin.
Dephosphorylation of Barrier-to-autointegration Factor by Protein ...
Jan 1, 2014 · Barrier-to-autointegration factor (BAF or BANF1) 3 is a highly conserved protein in multicellular eukaryotes. It was first identified as a factor that protects Moloney murine leukemia virus from integrating into its own genome (1), a self-destructive pathway termed autointegration.
A loop region of BAFF controls B cell survival and regulates ...
Mar 23, 2018 · Here we show that the flap of BAFF has two functions. In addition to facilitating the formation of a highly active BAFF 60-mer as shown previously, it also converts binding of BAFF to TNFRSF13C...
A fraction of barrier-to-autointegration factor (BAF) associates …
Aug 19, 2020 · Barrier-to-Autointegration Factor (BAF) is a conserved nuclear envelope (NE) component that binds chromatin and helps its anchoring to the NE. Cycles of phosphorylation and dephosphorylation control BAF function. Entering mitosis, phosphorylation releases BAF from chromatin and facilitates NE-disassembly.
BAF (E4O8R) Rabbit mAb #98783 - Cell Signaling Technology (CST)
BAF (E4O8R) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total BAF protein. Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey. Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ala12 of human BAF protein.
