Omashu and Ba Sing Se seem to be mostly seperate nations. Omashu seems to pay homage to Ba Sing Se but is not directly governed by them. Interesting political situation but I don't think it's fair to say that they are one nation even if technically Ba Sing Se should hold more authority.

Apr 20, 2023 · The cliff is surrounded in Tokonomas flipped inwards or outwards to fit my build, and the ones flipped outwards are customized with the the Ba Sing Se flag. I also have simple panels in some spaces be find the Tokonomas that are the same color, to fill in any gaps that would reveal the cliff left by a forward facing Tokonoma.

Aug 8, 2016 · This is the earth kingdoms capitol city. On a conservative estimate, i would say that maybe 20% of Ba Sing Se are earthbenders. Plus, one of the greatest Firebenders of all time lives in Ba Sing Se. We cant forget Iroh! This still gives them a huge advantage, as theres not one, but 3 walls of Ba Sing Se, and the outer one is about 100 feet thick.

Aug 10, 2020 · So Ba Sing Se and it’s walls is based off the Forbidden City palace complex in the centre of Beijing. The Forbidden City was finished in 1420, and according to Wikipedia, the population of Beijing in 1448 was 3.1 million, which seems much more reasonable.

Jun 28, 2014 · Logically, ba sing se was the forbidden city. I thought those parallels were obvious in TLA. The First Sino-Japanese War occurred in 1894/5, with Japan trying to take over mainly Korea (which was held/annexed by China).

Apr 16, 2024 · Tbh. After the 100 years of war, Ba Sing Se was slowly dying internally. Based on what we know, the king stopped being a king and was basically a puppet and the true ruler of Ba Sing Se wanted everything to be quiet and peaceful and this an information blackout was engaged with the higher nobles of ba sing Se and everyone who sought refuge there.
