The ‘Clock/Chrono’, it is to be found on the left and on the right edge of the MIP. One for the Capt and one F/O. A B737-800 is used with 2 types of ‘Clocks’. An analogue version, or digital form (DISPLAY). In the picture below, there is a digital version to see it.

From left to right: Engine displays, Nav display (in map mode), PFD and clock. The NG's have 6 Display Units (DU's), these display the flight instruments; navigation, engine and some system displays. They are controlled by 2 computers - Display Electronics Units (DEU's).

This clock is just a basic clock with a timer. It doesn't interface with FS, so you have to set the clocks time every time you fly (not a big deal). The clock is completely back lit and looks just like it came out of an NG pit.

Sep 29, 2011 · This style of clock is more readily observed in a 737 classic airframe. I intend to fit this clock to the First Officer side of the MIP. The Captain side will have a standard style Next Generation chronograph fitted.
