Design B-65 was a class of cruisers planned by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) before and during World War II.

The Alaska class, along with the Dutch Design 1047 battlecruiser and the Japanese Design B-65 cruiser, were specifically to counter the heavy cruisers being built by their naval rivals. All three have been described as "super cruisers", "large cruisers" or even "unrestricted cruisers", with some (up to Jane's Fighting Ships of World War II ...

Before the Second World War, a further class of two battlecruisers were planned (Design B-65), but more pressing naval priorities and a faltering war effort ensured these ships never reached the construction phase.

The Imperial Japanese Navy in World War II had four of the busiest and most famous of the world's battlecruisers, and plans to build a class of "Super Cruisers" that were modern battlecruisers in all but name.

Oct 13, 2016 · The B65 class was meant to destroy enemy heavy cruisers and provide an answer to the American Alaska Class. In order to achieve such objectives, the B65 class were as fast as other cruisers in the navy and carried firepower fitting of a light battleship.

The drawing is based on his specifications given in "Warship International" of 1965, so his accuracy (and mine for that matter) might not be completely correct, so if there're any feedback it would wonderful.
