Bell & Gossett series B expansion tanks are ASME rated pre-charged bladder-type pressure vessels. The Series B tank is designed to absorb the expansion forces of heating/cooling system water while maintaining proper system pressurization under varying operating conditions.

These B&G expansion tanks absorb the force of thermal expansion in hydronic heating and potable domestic water systems. The butyl diaphragm separates system water from the air in the tank thereby preventing water-logging problems. Series HFT tanks are for standard hot water heating systems (for heating the home or building environment).
