May 22, 2019 · Certainly won't need interior green for the B-26. Some areas, such as the cockpit insulation were a dark dull green colour, and most of the interior was coated aluminium.

Most USAAF aircrew applied names to their aircraft, and many featured accompanying artwork as well. “Valkyrie” of the 497BS features particularly professional examples of both. This Marauder was 42-95875 assigned to the 495BS.

Jul 11, 2004 · The decals will normally be for a particular aircraft (not just a B-26 but a specific B-26) in a particular squadron, and the squadron’s colors and markings would be specific to them. Check the instructions for your kit and it shold show the colors to be used.

Early 320th Marauders were top camouflaged at the Martin factory with dark olive drab paint (shade 41/FS 34087) extending all the way down the side of the fuselage to an unbroken wavy line from the nose back to the tip of the tail, just above the rear ventral hatches and bomb bays.

After studying numerous period color photos plus contemporary pictures of Flak Bait and other B-26s in museums, I finally settled on the following choices: the cockpit, nose, and turret areas were painted Dull Dark Green, which I represent by using Polly Scale RAAF Foliage Green.

Jan 21, 2007 · Does anyone out there know the cockpit colors, bomb bay colors, and wheel well colors for the B-26? If I am not mistaken, the B-26 floor color is a different color than the rest on the cockpit. I was wondering if the interior color is darker than normal US interior green???

May 26, 2014 · been looking at a hasegawa b26,with intent to build.all interior colours are shown as zinc chromate green;shouldn't this be in only a few areas,z.c.yellow in wheel wells ,bomb bay ,etc.?can anyone please help?

In early operations, USAAF Marauders were painted in standard olive drab and gray colors, but as the Allies gained air superiority, B-26s were generally left in natural metal finish. Camouflage came back in the last months of the war, however, since they were operated off forward airfields that were sometimes targeted by Luftwaffe air strikes.
