B2+ and B1XL (Also known as B1+) are oversize/uncut B paper sizes. These are not defined by ISO and have come about due to an industry need. The commonly used dimensions for these sizes are given in the following table.

The dimensions of B1 size is 100 x 70.7 cm or 39.37 x 29.83 inches. It has an area of 0.707 m², which corresponds to 0.84 square yards, 7.53 square foot or 1085 square inches. Its printable surface is slightly lower when you apply the usual printing margins.

B1 is between A0 and A1 in size. B series is less common in ‘office’ use; it is more regularly used in commercial printing to describe the width of a press where multiple pages are laid on one larger sheet: B3 paper is used to print two US letter or A4 pages side by side. Four pages would be printed on a B2 sheet.
