Jun 6, 2022 · For some reason, bagpipes have seemingly established themselves as this very regal, noble instrument that's echoed at memorial services, holiday gatherings, and more. Not only do they look ridiculous, but they sound terrible.

Nov 25, 2021 · Bagpipes sound awful! Everytime I hear this instrument, the only thing that comes to mind, is the sound of a wailing pig being squeezed to death (I mean pigs usually sound like they're dying, but you get my point) .

Jun 7, 2015 · The bagpipe major at our school had to practice outside because the practice rooms (which were reinforced with sound absorbing materials) couldn't make a dent in the fact that they obliterated the people in the practice rooms nearby.

Jun 26, 2015 · Doesn't matter how it's played, it's an awful sounding instrument. I do quite like uilleann pipes though. They have a different harmonic structure than other bagpipes and thus sound sweeter and quieter.
