Apr 16, 2013 · Avira seems to have fallen out of favor. Some years ago it was at the top, or close. However, its detection rates went down. The 2011 Detection Tests by AV-C indicated it was sub-par compared to the top ones. Evidently Avira took it to heart, and recently it has returned to being a top tier AV. But I still do not see much discussion of it.
