The Aurion shares most of its tooling, drivetrain, and centre body work, with restyled front and rear ends and interior fittings. In August 2007, Toyota Australia released a heavily enhanced, high performance version known as the TRD Aurion, with a supercharged V6 engine, full bodykit and more performance upgrades. [ 2 ]

Along with the supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine outputting 241 kW (323 hp) of power and 400 N⋅m (295 lb⋅ft) of torque, the TRD also incorporates an upgraded suspension system and tyres over the standard Aurion models to improve car handling.

The engine compartment was filled with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that featured variable valve timing and ignition system (VVTI). It offered 270 hp and it was mated as standard with a 6-speed manual.
