I got 99 problems, but rust ain’t one. I live in Wisconsin where we live with salted roads for (practically) 6 months of the year. Wash your car in the winter as much or more than you do in the summer, and you’re golden. Audi bodywork is somehow practically rust proof. My 2006 A6 with 275K miles had zero rust when I sold it.

May 8, 2022 · It is well maintained overall from service history and timing belt and pump has been replaced recently. Only issue is that MOT has an advisory which says rear subframe is corroding but no structural integrity issues yet. Upon inspection of the car, the rust seems concerning to me.

Rusting alloys/wheel bearing issues : r/Audi - Reddit
Mar 26, 2023 · Alloys can’t rust. That’s chemistry. As everyone has pointed out, it’s brake residue that’s collecting on the wheels, and that is rusting. Imo it is best to tackle the problem now before it gets worse, the rust isn't that bad though and would still take some time before it needs to be replaced. In this stage a wirebrush and fresh paint would fix it for a while (until the coating fails which will occur sooner because of stones etc hitting the ...
Fender corrosion?! (Need Advice) : r/Audi - Reddit
Jun 3, 2023 · Audi rust warranty is only for perforating rust and does not cover surface rust, which is what this is. No dice there. The fact that this fender was worked on and now has issues is the real problem here. The dealer’s body shop should 100% be fixing this since it’s likely due to bad prep or improper repair, etc.
