Mar 9, 2021 · This is basicly Gen 1 setup (so 1.9% diff F/R), which has been made 1" oversize to keep the ride comfort. There is ZERO rubbing on this setup and the ride quality is actualy better than on my 2021 Gen 2 RWD with 20" and no MagRides.

Jul 7, 2022 · My question is, are there any 1st gen R8 V8 owners out there that could share their story? Like why did they buy the R8, why did they sell/keep it, what has the ownership experience been like etc. I would greatly appreciate to get their perspective.

Mar 11, 2024 · Starting in 2017 the Audi R8 only came with a V10 engine. The first generation could be had with a 420 horsepower V8. But the weakest second generation car had a 540 horsepower V10. That is more power than the most powerful first generation car. The second gen V10 Plus model has 610 horsepower.

Jan 4, 2021 · I am looking to buy a first gen R8 this year, but can’t seem to get a straight forward answer on this on google or the R8 forums. Which model is the most reliable? I read that the R-tronic aren’t the best bet on the early auto, but on the latter S-tronic they get better.

Mar 15, 2024 · I've some reading and viewing on faults...weepy shocks, this so called chassis crack, carbon build up, etc, etc. Looking at a Gen 1 r8 v8 in either auto or 6 spd. What should I be demanding be checked based on your experiences in the purchase and reliability areas.

May 24, 2020 · My Gen 1 R8 with Volk TE37! New to me are a set of 20” Volk TE37 Ultra MSpec wheels. I know many will ask and to be honest, I got lucky. I had an order in for a set of TE37 Ultra’s but came across these and jumped on them instead. I would have preferred an 11” rear but the 10” works and looks just fine.

Oct 25, 2019 · I can see the appeal of 19s for the Gen 1, but considering a lot of Gen 1 owners move to 20s anyway and Gen 2 owners rarely seem to move down to 19s, starting with a 20" fit that would work for both makes sense to me.

Nov 6, 2024 · I’ve always read, listened and watched reviews from reputable journos on how the first gen R8 manual was the best R8 ever and it’s a great car! Many say it all went downhill after that!
