Athy Gaelic Football Club was formed on the 1 st of September 1887. The first Chairman of our club was a local priest Rev. J Carroll and the first Captain was P.J. Lawlor. The club has continued each year since 1887.

Athy GFC Facilities. The Clubhouse at Athy GFC was built in 1987 and includes a multipurpose hall and a newly refurbished bar area that can accommodate functions of all kinds including parties, christenings and other events.

Athy GFC is located on the outskirts of Athy on the Dublin road. The complex is comprised of two floodlit football pitches, a newly built set of dressing rooms and a spacious clubhouse.
