Nov 8, 2010 · Pros: 67J's actually spend a disproportionate amount of their company grade time actually at the company compared to a 15A (normal AV officer) because of the way that a MEDEVAC company is set up (O4s are COs, O3 are PLs, LTs serve as section leaders) which allows them sometimes to build flight hours faster than their 15A peers.

Second, can a army aviator submit an application for 67J? or is the only way to be considered for 67J is by coming up through MSC and being sponsored through flight school?

Your GPA is more important, as well as your SIFT score, results of your flight physical, where you fall on the order of merit list, and finally the needs of the Army. For example, my brother is an Army Warrant Officer and flies UH-60s as a MedEvac pilot. He is only a high school graduate.

Oct 21, 2022 · 3. Do NOT join thinking you'll definitely be a pilot. Aviation is near the top of the branch choices as is the side route of going to MSC./67J MSC IMO is not a wise branch choice, especially if you don't get your 67J slot. If you want to know more/why, just PM me.

Sep 23, 2009 · An alternative might be to list Medical Servie Corps as your #2 and become a 67J Aeromedical Evacuation pilot. This is what I did, and i was branched MSC, maybe because my major was microbiology. Then if you are not selelcted for Aviation, submit a separate packet with MSC Branch to go to flight school.

Jan 30, 2025 · At that point, the Army looks at how many scholarships it has remaining and draws a line on the OML spreadsheet. EVERYONE above that cutoff line will receive a 4-year or 3-year scholarship offer. Basically, everyone from a certain point down gets a 4-year, and then everyone below that on down to the cutoff line gets a 3-year.
